• The company

  Casius nv/sa was founded in 1999 and quickly became a successfull internet company in the BeNeLux. NetFund Europe contributed to this growth by supporting Casius financially and injecting 4,000,000 Eur.

  In 2003 the Batibouw-group (FISA nv/sa) incorporated Casius nv/sa to further strengthen and expand its services. The operational management of the Casius-concept in Belgium is since then handled by Casius Operations (a division of IVM bvba/sprl).

• Management team

  André Engelbeen and Toon Vanagt, two entrepreneurs with a proven track record in the Belgian building and technology sector are running Casius Operations.

How Casius works?

• Casius.be is the website that helps you to find a building professional quickly and for free.

  If you want to build or remodel your house, we'll help you define your project and find the most suited contractor:

  Finding a builder is easy, there are so many in the directory...'
  
  But finding a reliable builder may prove to be more difficult. The same goes for architects, decorators, plumbers, electricians and all the other specialist contractors in the home improvement market.
  
  Of course, the best recommendation comes from friends or family. But what if no one you know has recently had a new roof installed? What if that brilliant decorator has moved to the other end of the country?

  Our database contains details on thousands of home builders and improvement porfessionals throughout Belgium. Whatever type of contractor you need, we'll have one in your area. We will only put you in touch with contractors who've passed our screening process.
  In addition, many of our approved contractors have also been recommended by previous customers.
  That's about as good as any recommendation from a friend, don't you think?

  • Start by browsing our get inspired on-line magazine for ideas and inspiration on how to transform your home.
  • Next, determine your home improvement project, detailing all aspects involved. Our online project requirements form makes defining your particular specifications and the preferred timescale a piece of cake.
  • When you're happy with the project details you've entered, submit the form and it will be matched with suitable trade professionals from our database. We then shortlist contractors in your area who are best qualified for the job, and send them basic details for their appraisal of your project - but withholding your name and contact details.
  • If a trade professional can do the job within your schedule, he is given your name and phone number, so he can set up a meeting with you. We'll contact you as soon as this happens, providing background details on the company concerned so you know who will be calling you and to speed up contact you can call them too.

• We cannot guarantee that any of our trade professionals will be available to work on your project within your time frame - good tradesmen are always busy - but by using our service your chances will be greatly improved.

  
  
  • Don't worry, you won't be swamped! We'll only put you in touch with the first three contractors who get back to us. We do ask, though, that you see each of these contractors - several estimates will save you money, for one, and it's only fair to the professionals taking the trouble to get in touch.
  • You then choose one of the contractors you have met, based on the background we've forwarded to you, the price they quote and how much you like them!
  • When the job is done, we ask you to complete an evaluation form on the contractor. Please do complete this to help us retain the very highest standards of workmanship for people like you!
